Cl0p Ransomware Plagues Businesses Worldwide
The Cl0p Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS) model has been in operation since at least 2019.
The malware exfiltrates sensitive information before encrypting files and threatens to release the stolen data if the ransom is not paid.
The malicious software is compiled using Microsoft Visual C/C++ and can solely encrypt network drives a predetermined list of files or encrypt all local and network drives.
